Aassociated professor of journalism in the Faculty of journalism at Sofia University. She is a vice–dean of international relations.
She teaches Radio Programming, Communication Skills and PR in European Studies and Communication Management. Her academic interests focus on innovations, new trends in communications, journalism education and integration of theory and practice.
She has worked almost 20 years as a reporter, editor and presenter in Rock station, CHR station and Radio France Internationale. The professional interests of Dr. Manlier include public relation and communication management, based on her professional experience as communication specialist, branded for RFI - Bulgaria. Manuela has experience in European academic networking. She has contributed to number of media projects as coordinator of EJTA and collaborator to CIME (Center for International Media Ethics). Four years (2010-2014) Manuela Manlier served as a member of Board of European Journalism Training Association (EJTA). Member of jury of EU Prize of Journalism 2015, Georgia.
In addition she has invited as a guest lecturer in International weeks of Erasmus Hogeschool, Brussels and Artesis Pantijn Hogeschool, Antwerp.
